Could anyone tell me where i can fit the tach input wire on a 1.2l vauxhall corsa uk, the problem i'm having is that it has electronic ignition,so i dont know where to put it. the instructions say to wrap wire 5 times around HT lead, but there is no HT as such on this car.

the alarm starts the car, but it will not stay running, i presume this is because of this wire.

If anyone could help me on this matter i would be very grateful.

WHat kind of alarm/remote start are you installing? I know that directed electronics alarms can be changed from tach to voltage sense. This eliminates the need for the tach wire. The tach wire is still the best way to do the job, but if you cant find it and the remote start your puttin in has the option of programming it from tach to voltage do so. (It should say in the instrucion booklet under the programmable features) If you can program it for voltage and then start the car with the key for about 30 seconds and the remote start will learn the cars voltage. After that if the tach was the problem it should start up.
hope this helps
