hello.   if anyone own a newer mac.  you'll notice that when it's in standby mode/ sleep.  the power buttong will glow on and off.

that's wat i want to do for my security light led.  instead of the  on/off.   i'd like to have a steady glow on and off.

could this be done with a capacitor which charge and slowly dissipate the charge giving the glow on and off?

thanks

sorry bad choice of word.

it would  glow on then glow off.  someone said to use a resistor.  to let the charge go through but slowly.

would that work and how can i use that?

thanks

You mean like Fade ON Fade OFF.  You need some way to slow down the blinking.

Hopefully someone can tell you how.

Hey why don't you pop the cover off that mac and check the wires going to the LED to see if how its hooked up.  I think the macs use a little jumper board to connect their LED's to, take a look at the components on the board.
