I just finished installing a Viper 791XV into a 2002 Cavalier. I used a 555L.
Everyone works great.
Probelm is when the viper remote starts the vehicle, the security and service indicators both light up. But the vehicle DOES start. Also when remote starting everything turns on, except the guages dont initialize.
As soon as I stick in the key, the gauges then kick in, but the indicators remain on.
If i start the car with the key, no probem. If a let the vehicle run without the key after i started with the key, no problem.
Anyone out there had this problem?? Solutions??
Thanks,
Matt

"except the guages dont initialize."
This is common on sunfires, cavaliers, and some saturns. You need to power up the brown accessory wire. Start with that and go from there..
