Stinky Heat Shrink?

Last week one of the project managers ordered some PVC & Kynar heat shrink tubing for us. As our regular supply of polyolefin heat shrink tubing was all gone. Now I have used almost all types of heat shrink tubing and am not accustomed to the extreme smell and odor this type(s) of heat shrink tubing leaves behind. I used various heat settings, and all of them give off a extremely bad aszz odor, which I can assure each of you smells like a stink bomb. So, my Q would be, why the hell would anyone sell, or buy anything that smells so bad??? Based on the smell and the odor, I would have to gather it cant be that healthy for anyone who is around this stuff all day long. I am the poor soul who has to heat shrink two miles of wiring in the next 2 months. So you can see why I am annoyed and concerned about this smelly aszz product. Just because its clear, sure doesnt make it better, thats for sure. Knowledge is power. But only if you apply that knowledge in a positive way, which promotes positive results in others.

I don't use heat shrink I just use some good ole Super33 electric tape, and I've never had a problem with it. It is pretty expensive though..5 bucks a roll.~The Rookie~

No experience with toxic heat shrink. One related question though, have any of you guys used a heat shrink with hot melt wax inside? It's supposed to stop corrosion in solder joints by creating an air tight seal around solder joints. If anybody knows where I could find something like this please let me know.
