Basically, all I want to know is whether or not it is necessary to hook up the ignition 3 on an alarm/starter combo? What exactly is Ignition 3?  Because the alarm I'm getting is 3 ignition capable, but I'm not sure what that means, or if it is necessary to use with a 1996 Dodge Intrepid without the remote keyless entry. Thanks for any responses.

A thrid ignition line is used if the vehicle has a third circuit or combination of circuits that needs to be powered for the vehicle to start. Thankfully there are very few vehicles that need a 3rd Ignition line.

Thank you so much for your quick response.  I'm glad I don't have to worry about this.
