I,ve got my AG4 fitted for a week now but now it won,t chirp when the alarm get,s armed or disarmed..

this happened after I use the short stop function with my door open.

after I take my key,s out of the ignition and close all doors it doesn,t want to arm the alarm.

so I push different buttons on both the remotes but it won,t arm.

after I take it off the short stop function and parked my car and arm the alarm it doesn,t chirp anymore what have I done now???

first I thought it was on silent night but this on clear daylight..

then I thought I programmed the siren on silent..

also wrong but when I entered the programming mode the light lights up but also no chirps and when I push the switch for program the chirps I heard nothing and after a few seconds it give me the 3 chirps (so you can program something else) but it will still give no program chirps.

and no arm/disarm chirps..

did I have fried the brain or something like that???

i know what you mean.  the same thing happened to me, except that this happened when the master remote went ker-plunk.  after that no arm/disarm chirps with the companion remote.  i tried programing another master remote ,but the alarm did not give me the programing chirps.  the alarm works fine other than that, but if i can't get the programing chirps back i will probably have to change it to a concept 400 that's in my closet, before the companion remote goes out and i can't program another one.  i haven't tried, because i do not own a cliffnet wizard, to program it this way.

The self powered sirens stopped chirping if the internal battery dies.  The older ones seemed to have this problem more then the newer ones, however it sounds like the problem you are having.  The bottom line is that your siren probably needs to be replaced and it could just be a coincidence that it happened when it did.  the part should also be warrantied if the alarm was bought as new.

my siren is was the chirp problem and the problem with manual overide is the interior blower.

when the blower is working on level 3 then it will produce a shield that blocks the signal of the remote.

I just can use the transmitter to a very close distance when the blower is on 3 (so I just put it just to the first level  clifford avantguard 4 won,t chirp -- posted image. )

THANX to all
