Hello,

I am installing a viper 791xv in a Grand Cherokee 02. Here is my problem:

The car won't remote start.

I have double checked for blown fuses and connections. They all seem okay. I have cut the starter wire and connected the Green and Purple wires to each side. Checked those to make sure they are connected to the correct side of the yellow wire.

Bypass module is JDL-PK which has program okay.

The remote starter doesn't even make an attempt to engage. There is not even a relay clicking noice from the alarm (shouldn't be one?).

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue.

Thanks

3 most common problems with remote starts not starting... 1. is the break pedal pressed
2. is the hoodpin grounded
3. did you ground out the BLACK/ white wire.. just hack off the switch and ground it like i do... think its called neutral safety switch.. its on the small harness next to the main alarm harness
