i am hoping someone can help me out.  i need to get a manual or something to reprogram the command start in a used car that i have.  the starter used to work, but no longer works.  the keyfob has good batteries, etc, and we can make the lights flash, but no start.  so anyways, if someone can help me out for the programming or give me a website to check, that would be great.  the command start website was not helpful enough, we tried there already.  what they list will not work.  thanks!

Let me know as the number flashes tells you what is wrong with the installation.

actually, after screwing around some, we found that with button one, after turning the switch off then on again, we got one long flash once, and the fuel pump whirred to life. then it didn't start. then if we push the futton again, we get 9 flashes from button one. so is it a code "9"? if so, what does that mean? please help! thank you!

can you see what model the remote starter is?  Some old 2500 models had a protection built in so that if the car didn't start once it would never allow it to start again.  If that is the case it would flash 10 time when the start button was pushed.

Try shutting the on/off switch OFF and pressing button 1 and 2 at the same time.  If this works, the lights will flash 15 times.  Then turn the switch back on and see if it starts.

The model would help as Command start changed a few things over the years.
