Hey guys, I recently installed a Valet 561R in a 1996 Mazda Milennia. Install went fine except for the keyless entry, i did not hook that up because of mazdas single wire system so any help with that would be great. anyway, her car will remote start fine except sometimes instead of starting the factory alarm goes off. i did not hook up the factory alarm bypass wire. also, if she uses the key and locks then unlocks her doors, the car will start, why, i have no idea. i connected the 2 constant 12v wires, the ignition 1 and 2, the starter, the accessory, the ground, the brake switch, the hood pin, and the neutral saftey wire. any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

MAZDA, MILLENIA, 1996, Power Lock
Negative trigger through a 1K (1000 ohm) resistor will lock the doors and arm the factory security. Negative trigger on the same wire will unlock all doors and disarm the factory security. Test using the passengers door key cylinder switch with all doors closed.
To disarm without unlocking, send a positive trigger to the blue / YELLOW key sense wire. The key sense wire is located at the steering column.
- blu/yel or orange on the passenger door harness
or
- RED / black drivers kick panel
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.96 Mazda Millenia -- posted image.
