I would like to install power door locks in a 71 Mustang. In addition to door panel switches, I want to connect them to an existing alarm (Alpine SEC-8049) for locking/unlocking. Here are a few questions I have:

          1. What brand should I buy?

          2. Do I get a central power lock kit?

          3. How many wires should the actuators have?

          4. Do I need relays or does the Alpine have them already?

Thanks, your input is greatly appreciated.

You can get a DEI power lock system or a SPAL power lock system. These kits usually come with everything you need. Wiring, Switches , and relays. They have input wires for you alarm system so that you can control the locks with your remote.
