Isn't the name "viper" more reputable than "clifford"? I know they are both by DEI, but I know the Viper line has been around for a long time, whereas I just started hearing about Clifford. I know I could be very wrong, I could have just been at the wrong place at the wrong time. So please don't shove it in my face if I'm wrong.

i think your totally right, iv only really heard about viper. I dont see why, clifford seems to be like the same exact thing. I judt think its all about marketing. Like iv seen the Viper voice module on Pimp my ride and shows like that. Then poeple look for it.

actually topless98gt  Clifford has been around longer and i would consider it a more respected name than Viper.... yes, they are both owned by DEI now, but i was selling Clifford 10-15 years ago when it was the only high end security product worth installing...... apparently Directed took the approach "if you cant beat 'em, buy 'em!!"

in fact, for true security, you still cant beat the Clifford G5 product.......

just a little trivia for you there......

I have to agree with Kevin also...

Clifford is BY FAR DEI's Flagship alarm system.  If you go to their website and do some research you can all find this out for yourselves.

Besides what other system gives you functionality like BlackJax and wireless immobilizers, etc.
