Recomended Methods For Locking My Hood

The last thing I need for my system is to lock my hood and I have seen a couple of products that might work like DEI's keyed lock but I would like you guys opinion.

i have a barrel key  type hood lock on my  truck. its not actually wired into the alarm, but if you lift the hood just a bit the pin switch will trigger it. you do have to drill into the hood, but it gives it a cool hot rod look to it.

You could disable you hood pop cable and rewire a hidden release cable or an electric solenoid. Hidden cable would be better though in case your battery goes dead.

I just ordered an electronic lock from autotoys. Says it will work with my existing alarm.
