I am trying to install Audiovox APS510a for my 97' camry.  By searching through out this forum, I was able to get the vihicle diagram below:

http://www.directechs.com/directwire/wire_body.asp?action=select&yr=2148&product=Remote%20Start#

I wonder if you can show me how to wire the alarm so that I will be able to press the Disarm botton first time it opens driver's door, and when I press the Disarm button second time it opens all the doors.

Thanks so much in advance

u will have to wire a relay up and run wires into the pass. door....the relay goes like this.....85 (ground pulse for 2nd unlock from brain) 86 12vconstant, 87 12Vconstant, 30 to blue at unlock motor in door, 87a to blue at unlock motor going back into the car.  That is right u must cut the blue wire.  Be sure to test the unlock from the factory switch first before trying with alarm.  Also that is the wire color my info tells me....be sure to test with a DDM first. good luck

Thanks so much for taking time to help me with  my big dream project. I will go home tonight to follow your instructions on my alarm installtion.

Once more question, my camry 97' right now is equiped with the kind of door lock system that when I turn my key at the passenger door , it will lock the whole doors. However if I turn my key the other way it opens the driver's door, and I turn same way again  it opens all doors.

Is there other way to wire my alarm for keyless entry or yours is the only way?

ur question is not clear......by the way i forgot to tell u .....u need a rely for the drivers door too....the same way u did the pass door.....but instead of using the 2nd unlock output in pin 85 on the pass relay.....use the regular unlock output for the drivers door relay pin 85.....get it?

Thank you Redpepper again. I need to read your instructions over and over again untill I have a better understanding of what I'm about to do.

I know how the relay works.

I just want my car to function like my friend's factory keyless entry car.

otherwise I can wire basic keyless entry.

STOP PRODUCTION! HALT THE ASSEMBLY LINE! CUT THE POWER TO THE MACHINERY!
alpineivan,
You are doing alot of unnessary work by putting in relays. The lock and unlock wire on the Audiovox unit are self-learning. It’s smarter than all three of us here on this post. It does all the formulas and heavy calculation inside the brain. All you got to do is connect Green wire on the unit to the lock wire on your vehicle to the following.
Power Lock      dk. blue/white - org plug bottom of fusebox
Then you connect the blue red wire (if this is the colour lable on your alarm unit) to the unlock wire in your vehicle.
Power Unlock      dk. blue -       org plug bottom of fusebox

Once you are done with all the connection, all you got to do is press the lock and unlock on the remote. The next thing you know is that you just install your first keyless entry system.
FYI:
Audiovox Unit information.
3 Wire Ground Switched 2 Step Door Locks:
In this application, the Green wire provides a ground pulse during arming, or the pulsed ground lock output.
Connect the green wire to the wire that provides a low current ground signal from the factory door lock switch to
the factory door lock control relay.
The Blue wire provides the first ground pulse during disarming, or the drivers door pulsed ground unlock output.
Connect this wire to the drivers door unlock relay that requires a low current ground signal to unlock only the
drivers door. If the vehicle does not have a separate drivers door relay, one will have to be added. Locate the
drivers door unlock motor wire and cut it at a convenient location to allow wiring of an optional relay. Connect the
door side of the cut wire to terminal 30 of the optional relay added. Connect the vehicle side of the cut wire to
terminal 87a of the optional relay added. Connect the blue wire of the 3 pin harness to terminal 86 of the optional
relay added. Connect terminal 85 of the optional relay added to a fused constant + 12 volt source. Most vehicles
door lock/unlock motor legs rest at ground, and switch +12 volts to the door lock/unlock motor legs for operation,
if this is the case in the vehicle you are working on, connect the remaining terminal, 87, to a fused + 12 volt source.
In the rare instance that the vehicle door lock/unlock motor legs rest at + 12 volts and switches ground to the door
lock/unlock motors, connect the remaining terminal, 87, to chassis ground.
The Blue/Red wire provides a pulse ground output when the unlock button of the transmitter is pressed a second
time after disarming. Connect the Blue/Red wire to the wire that provides a low current ground signal from the
factory door unlock switch to the factory door unlock control relay.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.camry 97 double pulse -- posted image.
