ive just replaced the battery in my truck and the alarm works but the remote start does not! if i hit my button my lights flash 7 times. and nothing happens..... i have a vallet swithch thats on all the time and a black button , i took it to circuit city and they sayed i needed to find out how to program the tac? there are no wires under the hood so he didnt know. i got it installed at a dealer that is no longer in buisness please help!!! if you want you can also reach me at 254-640-0084 thank you so very much! ill be in touch! its a (platinum prestige by audiovox model aps-996a)

Go to the install manual on page 20. It has the procedure for learning the tach.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. aps-996a -- posted image.
