Lets say I buy a complete alarm system on ebay, remote starter and keyless entry. How much will a shop charge me to install the system?

Depends on the car.... And some might even do if they don't like the brand.

Expect to pay alot for installation aswell. Most shops will charge you more if you bring in your own product to install as well, they won't warranty the item unless bought from them. If you get a DEI peice you will need to go back to a DEI installer for warranty.

$50-100 an hour minimum. 3 hour is usually the norm.
Expect some shop not do any product purchase from else. (Non authorized dealer). Some will have no problem installing it, but will you pay for the time and work if the item if found defective and non functioning?
My point, get the unit from the shop that also installs them. You are paying nothing more than to have a peace of mind.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.Instalation Labor Question -- posted image.
