I have a 97' Pontiac Grand Am. I have a Rattler remote starter and a immobilizer bypass(1)  from bypasskit.com, the PLXR model, it says to hook up the voilet/white wire the the buld test. There illistrasion shows it hooked up to a (-) output, but the wire I found in the 6 pin black harness the thin black wire, reads a 0 volts in the off position, 12 volts in the run position, and 0 volts in the cranking position. I would to know if this is the correct wire? I had read somewhere that the bulb test wire is either an open ground, or grounded loop. Is either one of these correct or I'm way off base? I don't wish to hook the bypass and blow it up. I would appreciate any help.

Assuming that wire is in the ignition harness with the heavy gauge ignition wires, it's the right wire. It's showing ground in the crank position, which is precisely what it should do.
