1996 Cavalier passlock 1

I am a nightmare with passlock 1 on this vehicle. I am using a 555LW. The car starts and shuts off not learning the R-code? There is a ribbon with 3 wires, I cut the one with yellow stripe and soldered the yellow to the key side, black yellow towards dash. Black is on middle wire which is always at ground. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanx a million,

Doesn't sound like you have found Bulb Check Wire.....Do a Search here for instructsMO

I tested the bulb check and the wire with the ignition on tests at 2.6 volts and when the starter engages it drops to 0. I think this is right but I was wrong once before.

Found problem bypass no good.
