2004 Galant Tach

I have recieved two ideas on where the tach wire would be.  One its on the ignition coil.and its an odd color.  I have tried a lot of the wires and none seem to work.  Also i read that its pink black under driver side dash but also that wire did not work.  I have a 2004 Galant Straight lined four.  I would like and appreciate any help on finding a tach wire to so that i can install a viper 791xv.

I am not so sure on what the igntion coil is but each of the four spark plugs that plug into the enige have fours wires.  I tried all the wires.

thanks for Replying so fast ---but is there a wire inside of the car i can use- or is it under the hood only-  theres a pink/black wire under the left side of the steeringwheel but it didnt seem to work or else it was so small we werent actually makin the connection- is this the wire? hopfully you know thanks
