ideas for connector on closed loop?

I just finished up an install on a 96 yamaha vmax, the alarm (merlin 2000 DEI) has a built in closed loop sensor for a helmet or accessory bag, ect. I cant come up with any easy to use/reliable connectors that wont be a burden to connect/disconnect all the time. The wire is a single wire that if you ground it to the chassis or to a seperate ground wire the alarm will trigger when disconnected or cut. I have thought of using the helmet lock on the bike, and getting a spare key and attaching the wire to it and placing it in the cylinder of the helmet lock so when its pulled out the alarm will sound, but the ground in the lock is very iffy sometimes. any other suggestions? What ever you use it's going to have to take a lot of wear and tear. I would suggest you use a two wire connector that can usually be found at automotive stores that sell trailer wiring. I have used these for a variety of things and have found them to be pretty tough. They are polarized and have a rubber grip on them. They seal out the weather pretty well and if you use both wires in parallel it should give you double the life expectency. They are also cheap if you do need to replace them.sparky
