Installing a remote start on an olds aurora 1999. I haven't seen the vehicle yet,. but I did a search on this vehicle. I understand it has a VATS system, I have a bypass kit for it, but I noticed people had problems finding the disarm wire? Any tips on exact location "besides under the passenger seat(OR passenger rear seat)"

Also any other tips or tricks would be helpful. Thanks

P.S. I did a search on this vehicle before posting.

Don't waste your time running a wire to the back seat. You will find a light green wire in the harness coming in from the driver's door which runs to the back of the car. There will be more than one so you will need to test for the correct one with a meter. It will go to ground when you use the key in the outside door key cylnder and turn and hold it in the unlock position.   To rearm the alarm you will need to pulse the Tan driver's door pin wire to ground and pulse the RED / black lock wire at the same time. The Tan door pin wire will be in the same bundle of wires that you find the disarm wire in. Test it as well as there will be duplicates. It will go to ground with the door open.
