Hi,
I just finished installing my Compustar alarm into my 97 Eclipse. It is supposed to be model 2wss-as, which I purchased on ebay here:
http:///.com/dll?ViewItem&item=5867298599&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1
The one I received does not have the remote pager and antenna that is shown in the picture in that auction. The one mine came with looks like the one in this auction (but its blue):
http:///.com/COMPUSTAR-2WFM-AS-2-WAY-ALARM-STARTER-NEW-MAN-TRANS_W0QQitemZ5875724033QQcategoryZ94832QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
The box it came in has a sticker on it that says 2wss-as but I'm not sure if they sent me the right one or not. The range on the one I have seems to not be anywhere near what the 2wss-as is supposed to have. Did they send me the wrong thing?
Thanks!

There are MANY Copy Manufacturers that sell to Merchandisers ( like on E-Bay ) ...........Some use the same Brand Names, others mis-spell the name puposely..................

Years ago a few Stereo Manufac. were being copied, like Pioneer or Kenwood

WATCH what you buy on E-Bay or any where that a GOOD DEAL is presented.

Er...I've been dealing on ebay buying and selling for quite some time so I know how it works and what to watch for. What they gave me is not a copy, I just believe they sent me the wrong model.
I guess the real question is...can the 2wss-as package come with any remote other than the 2wss-r remote.
I looked at the antenna on my dash too and it has 2w-fm477.. so I'm pretty sure they somehow sent me the wrong one even though the box is labeled. Hopefully they will email me back and make things right.
Assuming it is the wrong one also, does Compustar use the same brain for each package and just change the remote and antenna reciever...so all they would have to do is send me the correct antenna to mount in the car and the correct remote?

You got the wrong remote and antenna. Same brain....you'll just need to swap the antenna and remote
