I installed an Audiovox APS-786 remote Start/ alarm combo in this vehicle & everything is fine except the autolights stay on if you don't go out to the vehicle after remotely starting it. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Can I simply trigger the drivers door pin sw. with a negative arm pulse?

Try using a factory rearm wire to the door trigger.  I think that most audiovox alarms have a four pin plug with black wires with different color tracers, and one of them will be a negative pulse after shut down, either BLACK/ green or BLACK/ red, can't remember for sure which one.  That should do the trick.

That may work, as long as it doesn't set off the alarm.  If it does, you may have to disarm the alarm before a remote start.

Thank you both for the info. I will have to see if that sets off the alarm.

--newer Audiovox alarm/RS combos are smartly designed; they ignore the door trigger input at the beginning or end of the remote-start cycle.
--Connect the RED / black "pulse after shutdown" output to the driver's doorpin wire of the car; this will allow the autolamps to shut off once the delay period is over.

Or break the headlight wire with a relay, triggered with the ground while running. This will keep the light from coming on at all. The autolight wire is brown @ the switch.

use the factory alarm re-arm wire to trigger a relay that interrupts the autolight wire at the switch.
