Hi I am new here and have searched to see if anyone has had this problem.  I hope someone can help, I installed the Viper 792 XV in a 2002 chevy 2500 with a Duramax Diesel.  everything works doors lock and unlock with remote they both trigger the alarm when doors are open hood pin switch shuts truck down brake pedal also shut engine off, remote start works correct. but when I start the truck it seems with it armed the truck strts and the service engine soon lite stays on I have not driven it that way. when I wait a while and star with the key it goes out.  I have the bypasskit model pldata in the truck to bypass passlock 2 the only thing I did not hook up was the second brown acc wire and have read that you do not need it. some of the gauges do not operate like the tach and temp but I asume it is because I do not have that wire hooked up. if anyone has any Ideas let me know thanks.

you need all wires hooked up the brown and there might be a white. The tranny will act up. hook them up right away do not remote start the truck until they are all hooked up.

can you tell me how to hook the second accessory wire up through a relay to power the brown wire, do I use 12+ from the same red wire or can I use the RED / white in the same harness, can I use the 1st accessory wire to energize the realy that feeds the second accessory brown wire

Well I hooked up the second acc wire brown to be powered up with a relay when RS is operated and the service engine soon came back on after the third RS, I have also found that some people say to diode isolate the paking light wire, and that would trigger a service engine soon but that was on a 2002 impala could this be the problem.

This is just the Silverado I went out and checked all the wiring again an took some voltage readings and found that I was loosing 12+ on the pink/white second ignition output due to a bad connection on the RED / white wire, thanks for all the help service engine soon light is gone now.  one more question for the pros is there a way to get the interior light to come on when unlocking without wiring a relay into the domelight supervision output thanks.

i think the domelight usually comes on when u use the 556gw????? to bypass and integrate the rs and door locks.
