My wife just got a 2007 tahoe and I removed the valet alarm from her old vehicle. I understand they have redone the passkey on the new trucks. I beleive you need the 556uw module for this truck. Is there anything else I will need. Also does anyone know about how much it will cost to have a spare key cut for the module. Does anyone know anything special I could do to help with this install.

look on the base of the key if it has a + sign on it needs a bypass 556u why cut another key jus gound the module direct and ignition to power module no matter what key you use it will start jus cut a valet key to turn the ign switch anyway you will have a killswitch thru the alarm2007 Tahoe Valet 554r -- posted image.

why would you permanently disable the factory system. I don't think the cost of the new key is very big in the grand scheme the total cost of the new truck. Why weaken the security of the antitheft that you have to save a few bucks? buy the module and the key and keep it functioning normally
