Has anyone had any problems with a 03 ls and a alarm start combo? The techs at code alarm say that it can't be done sucessfully but this doesn't sound right. I've heard that the door and trunk triggers have to be isolated with a relay to prevent the system from falseing after the vehicles electrical system shuts down. Has anyone had any problems with these cars? Any info at all would be greatly appreciated!

Hey lincoln_guy your right anything is possible!! Check this link out it's for the 2000 LS; I don't think much has changed with the wiring. Just make sure you use a multimeter and test the leads before you tap into them. https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=2000&make=Lincoln&model=LS&ID=1312&type=Alarm

As far as problems with that car I can't recall any, it's been awhile for that one though. I've never installed a Code Alarm brand in it; but with the DEI products I haven't ever needed a relay for the triggers. It might have something to do with timing on the Code Alarm??

The problem they are reffing to....

You need to add a relay to the domelight wire for the car. That relay will then trigger the door trigger input on the alarm. The car has a fading domelight. As the domelight fades, you will hear the relay clicking ON and OFF rapidly for a couple seconds. This will happen every time the customer closes the doors and the domelight fades out.

It works, but if this is for a customer warn them about the buzzing relay ahead of time.
