Trying to wire in the remote starter on a Clifford 50.5X to a 1995
Toyota Tacoma pickup. according to 12.com here are my wiring
assignments in the vehicle:
Constant 12v white - ign. switch
Starter black - ign. switch
Ign blk/yel - Ign switch
Ign 2 blk/red - Ign switch
Assorc. blue/red - Ign switch
tach BROWN / black - in multi coil pack
I have the alarm working and need to connect up the remote start but
am not sure of the conections. First, do I need to connect Ign and Ign
2 also? Even with the instalation manual, I'm having trouble finding
the correct ignition wire. So far it will crank over but will not
start. Not sure of the tach wire or the proper ignition power wire.
They say the tach wire is in the Multi coil pack, where the heck is
that? Any help would be appreciated.

Do you need to do a clutch bypass...or is it an auto trans?

look at xcrs relay pack.
red ->Constant 12v white - ign. switch
pink->Ign blk/yel - Ign switch
pink/white->Ign 2 blk/red - Ign switch
orange->Assorc. blue/red - Ign switch
cut starter wire in half:
Starter black - ign. switch
-green to key side at one half
-purple to starter side at the other half.
tach BROWN / black - in multi coil pack
not sure at the year of the 5vzfe that use coil over plug(COP) or individual coil. check at any sparkplug.

It's coil over plug, that's what confused me. If I had a standard coil, I'm sure I could have just used the one of the coil wires. Not sure how the coil over plug works, So I'm going to use the wire that comes off the back of the tach it's self. Hopfully that should work. Thanks againm for the help.
