trying to put in a boa 265, testing out wires for park lights and brake system, wires arent testing out correctly is there an easier way than with a double bulb test light

2001 gmc sierra looking for an easy way to test the parking lights and the brake type series to wire in a remote start and keyless entry

The neg. parking light wire is white at a light blue plug at the bcm Pin a5. The brake wire that I use is with the ignition wire its white.
