Just installed compustar 2wss-as works fine, but noticed cannot use the 1 way remote that comes with the unit.  I read some forums about programming it like the 2 way remote but does not work.  Before I say more, I noticed the led does not flash when I hit any buttons. At first I thought the battery was bad but than measured voltage and it has 6.45 volts, 2 x3 volt lithium batteries in series.  Any suggestions?  Do I just have a bad remote?  Thanks.....

try programming it like so: cycle igntion 5 times, you should hear realys clicking in the  brain, hit the lock button and it should again click to confirm it learned the remote. turn off the ignition wait a second or 2 and try it.

And make sure to hit the lock button on the 2 way remote also.

If the LED on the remote doesn't flash when buttons are pressed, the remote is probably bad.
You could always try making sure that the batteries are making good contact, and that they are installed in the correct position.
The LED on the remote should light up when buttons are pressed, regardless of whether or not the remote is programmed to the car.
