Ok every wiring diagram says somethin diffrent bout this van.  - thru a180 ohm resistor on the 2nd start wire purple /brown.  All diagrams match that but them others say must  have PURPLE / orange  also cause of multi-plexing.  Who has had experience with theses for first hand knowledge.

This is the diagram I followed for the last 01 T&C I did, worked flawlessly:
DIRECTWIRE™ WIRING INFORMATION - CHRYSLER / TOWN AND COUNTRY / 2001 / Remote Start
[PRINT THIS PAGE]
12volts      lt. blue/red (10A)       +       ignition harness
Notes: This wire is rated at 10 amps only. If installing any system with high current outputs, go to battery for 12v.
Starter      yellow       +       ignition harness
Second Starter      PURPLE / brown       -       ignition harness
Notes: The second starter wire is negative trigger thru a 180 ohm resistor. MUST use relay. Refer to DirectFax document 1083 for wiring information.
Ignition      pink/white       +       ignition harness
Second Ignition      N/A
Third Ignition      N/A
Accessory      not required for remote start
Second Accessory      N/A
Keysense
Power Lock      PURPLE / green       -       conn. 3, pin 21 @ BCM
Notes: Lock is negative trigger thru a 5.3K ohm resistor. Unlock is negative trigger thru a 2.0K ohm resistor. MUST use relays.
The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.
Can also use Directed interface modules.
Power Unlock      same wire as power lock
Lock Motor      tan/white              conn. 2, pin 10 @ BCM
Notes: The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.
Unlock Motor      tan/lt. green              conn. 2, pin 28 @ BCM
Notes: The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.
Parking Lights+      DO NOT USE
Parking Lights-      WHITE/ brown       -       headlight switch
Notes: The parking lights are negative trigger thru a 2.1K ohm resistor. The headlights are negative trigger thru a 790 ohm resistor. There is a rest resistance on the wire, so MUST use a relay to isolate away from the switch. See DirectFax document 1082 for wiring information.
Hazards
Turn Signal(L)
Turn Signal(R)
Reverse Light
Door Trigger             -       conn. 3 @ BCM
Notes: There are separate door triggers for each door, they are all in connector 3 at the BCM. The driver door trigger is purple in pin 6, the passenger door is PURPLE / white in pin 7, the left sliding door is PURPLE / gray in pin 8, and the right sliding door is purple / YELLOW in pin 5. Use all four and diode isolate each. See DirectFax document 1076 for wiring information.
The BCM is in the drivers kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.
Dome Supervision      use door trigger
Trunk/Hatch Pin      PURPLE / orange       -       conn. 3, pin 29 @ BCM
Notes: A diode must be placed inline on this wire to avoid problems with the dome lights and parking lights.
The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.
Hood Pin      PURPLE / lt. blue       -       conn. 3, pin 30 @ BCM
Notes: The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.
Trunk/Hatch Release      PURPLE / tan       -       conn. 2, pin 6 @ BCM
Notes: Hatch release is negative trigger thru a 1.69K ohm resistor. MUST use a relay.
The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.
Power Sliding Door      PURPLE / blue       -       conn. 3, pin 1 @ BCM
Notes: Left power sliding door is negative trigger thru a 1.5K ohm resistor. Right power sliding door is negative trigger thru a 2.7K ohm resistor. MUST use relays.
The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.
Factory Alarm Arm      PURPLE / lt. blue       -       conn. 3, pin 14 @ BCM
Notes: Arm is negative trigger thru a 1.5K ohm resistor, this will also lock the doors. Disarm is negative trigger thru a 9.1K ohm resistor, if use double pulse this will also unlock the doors. MUST use relays.
The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the driver kick panel near the parking brake. It has 5 plugs in it, one 6 pin plug and four 34 pin plugs.
Can also use Directed interface modules.
Factory Alarm Disarm      same wire alarm arm
Disarm No Unlock
Tachometer             ac       ignition coil pack
Notes: On the 2.4L use blue/green or blue/tan. On the 3.3L/3.8L use blue/green, blue/tan or blue/orange.
Wait to start
Notes: test
Brake Wire      WHITE/ tan       +       brake pedal switch
Parking Brake
Horn Trigger      GREEN/ purple       -       steering column
Memory Seat 1
Memory Seat 2
Memory Seat 3

ok must be that i did not use a relay for the 2nd starter.  Wierd i never have to on the  jeeps with the same wiring.  The car would just crank even with the key in the ignition to bypass the key.

I am using this as my second start wire with the resistor and the engine is still just cranking. No imoblizer on this vehicle as it has the black key. What will make this car start? 2000 caravan with 2001 wiring 8/00 manufacture date.
