I just did a VALET 562t in a 2000 chevy silverado. I wired everything up unlock and lock works, horn, parking lights, i learned the tach signal, learned the resistance code with the 556L. I've checked all the fuses there all good, I cant figure out what the problem could be im completely stumped so any input on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I am not familiar with that unit, but I would check the hoodpin wire and make sure it's not grounded.Make sure your bypass unit is getting the ground signal from your remote start unit when trying to start.

do you have some kind of neutral safety switch wire on the remote start......the systems i use have a BLACK/ white wire that needs to be grounded, or the system wont even attempt to start...also check the brake shutdown, and other shutdown inputs you might have on the system.

check your ignition wire, you may not have the right one.

OK i did not hook up the hoodpin(Yet) so we can eliminate that, i checked the brake wire to make sure that was the correct wire and it was. Now as of the Neutral safety wire The directed valet 562t has a wire for the NSS but i dont remember having to connect that to ground SInce its on the H3 harness. I did not hook up the toggle switch. That should still work with out it being plugged in right? I know the ignition wires are correct because THE 556LW was programmed successfully, you need to turn the ignition on and off 2 times before it will program. Any more help id appreciate it TIA

the bypass shouldnt be the prob..it should at least try to crank. Its been a while since i worked on Dei, but all of the old stuff the BLACK/ white had to be grounded, and the new code alarm i work with also has the same wire.It wont hurt to try

Well i just did a viper 560xv last week, and i did not ground any black and white wire. And that was on a chevy too and it started right up. However i noticed the 562t didn't Have the blue status light it has the RED one, so im wondering if i need to hook up the toggle switch and ground the black and white wire, i wonder if the black and white wire only applies to the older models. I do remember grounding the black and white wire on certain avital models.
