Whomever has done a rs on this vehicle, I am wondering what bypass was used. I have a customer that did his own rs and he cannot program the bypass. Tried many assorted bypasses. My rs parter tried to program it and it wouldnt program. The only bypass we havnt tried was the universal "Key Req" . Has anyone had problems like this?

Thanks

what kind of bypass kits has he used?
I would have used the XK01 or the PKT from bypasskit.com
or the directed 1100F with the software change.
none of these would have to keep the key.

I did a succesfull remote start on the 2002 Highlander.  I used a 555x.  In the actual immobilizer harness under they cylinder you will find the wires that you need.  I alson noticed that the key sense was positive so you have to use relay for it to program.  It worked with no problem.  Also check his locks and unlocks.  That vehicle is not simple in regards to this.  You need a to connect to wires on the passenger kick panel and use diodes to make them work using .  Otherwise the locks will only work during remote start.  If you dont hook it up that way then your customer will ask why the locks stop working after 2 minutes of being armed(factory arms which will not allow the doors to unlock or lock). YOU MUST USE DOC 1070 provided by DEI.
