Hey everyone, I've been pondering this for a while now and would like some outside opinions on how to do this...  I want to activate a remote start through other means than the remote, but i want to keep the 2 pulses on the remote for safety...

so, the activation input is selectable between 1 and 2 pulses, but this will also change the remote pulses to activate the remote start.  I was thinking, about having my single negative trigger split.. one wire going straight to the activation wire, and the other going to a relay or capicitor, then to the activation input... I'm not sure if this will work though.. the purpose of the split is so one pulse goes straight to the activation, and the other get delayed before it goes straight to the input.. possibly giving me the 2 momentary pulses i am looking for?

anyone have any ideas or know if this will work?

Thanks!

The two pulses will come way too fast in series likely for the remote starter to be triggered.

You'll need to wire in a capacitor that'll take a split second to store a charge and then set off a relay that will deliver the second pulse.  The size of the capacitor will determine how long of a delay between the first and second pulse.

so then my idea with the capacitor and the relay will work right? in theory?  i was thinking having a capicitor that will make a 1/2 second delay.
