I had a viper 5900 installed in my 2006 toyota tacoma by an authorized viper dealer but the install was full of problems. I have repaired all the damage they caused but still have one problem. From what I can tell the GREEN/ black wire is the main starter wire and the BLACK/ white is the secondary. They cut the GREEN/ black wire and attached the starter side of it to the BLACK/ white wire and the purple wire from the alarm. It does work but from what I have read here I don't think it is hooked up correctly. Is this the correct way to do it: GREEN/ black wire on switch side to green from alarm for antigrind, GREEN/ black wire on starter side to purple wire from alarm and energize the 2nd starter wire with a relay using the smaller purple wire from the alarm to 85, 86 and 30 to 12v and 87 to the 2nd starter wire on the vehicle. Will the antigrind work correctly this way and if I left it the way they hooked it up will I have any problems? Thanks for any help!

if the GREEN/ black wire is the starter then connect key side to green and the other side to purple.  Reconnect the BLACK/ white wire.  on the relay pack you would connect a small litle plug and its violet.  Connect the violet wire(2nd starter) to 85,12v constant to 86, 12v constant to 30, and tap in BLACK/ white wire to 87.  If you cant find the small plug then tap the purple guage wire from r/s to 86 and change 85 to ground(-).

Thanks enice, I didn't know about the small plug on the relay pack (my installer didn't use it) but I do have a plug for it.
