Hi
I am having problem installing a DEI 506T on my car.
No matter what I do, it causes an extra chirp when I am arming the alarm (bypass notification). I read a post that says that the chirp itself was causing the alarm to report as malfunctioning, but I do not want to believe that. After all, the 506T is supposed to have advanced filters to detect only the breaking of glass, I can't believe DEI made a sensor that is fooled by its own alarm chirp.
I am sure there must be another reason for this.

Does the vehicle have "delayed exit" dome lights? That will cause it to chirp for the bypass. What zone is being bypassed? That will tell you what it is.

I am not sure if it has delayed exit. But if I unplug the DEI 506T (Glass breakage sensor) only, then everything works fine. Therefore, it is the DEI 506T who is causing the trouble.

do you have pain generators or anything installed in the vehicle?  I had that problem with the pain generators installed they chirped with the siren and set an error in the 506t...i used a 528t module triggered by the GWA wire to interrupt power to the 506T module for 30 seconds and that got me past the problem

No, no pain generators. But the mic is on the front right pillar, the siren is in the engine below the engine. Makes me wonder if maybe it is too forward. Maybe I should hide it under the dash, but wouldn't it affect its performance?

My glass break sensor is mounted under the steering column. You can't see it unless you are looking for it. Try moving to to different places and see if you can get the bypassing to stop.
