was going to attempt remote start in a 2007 sprinter 2500 van, BUT ignigtion wires do NOT conform to either DEI or Autostart wiring info, there appears to be no start wire on the ign harness, i have red +12v, BLACK/ red = ign/accy first key position and black as second key position, there is NO BLACK/ yello crank wire i have  instead a RED / green and a WHITE/ red, both seem to be some sort of data wires, as when probed with an electronic test light the truck will NOT start when either are probed and see the minute 12v thru the light

this vehicle does NOT require you hold the key to crank to fire up either it only needs a quick turn of key and release to continue cranking on its own similar to gms

at the ignition switch/module there are also 2 other plugs with small guage wires, this vehicle also does not seem to allow the key to turn unless the x-pnder is seen by the ignition when key is inserted, the solenoid does not allow disengagement of the ign/sw lock unless the x-ponder is seen by the vehicle

anyone have any idea or info on such as this

thanks

for anyone who wants to know you will NOT be able to do RCS in a 2007 sprinter at least with a build date past Jan 2007, as the ignition on these use the can bus system on the ignition switch. unless your willing to crack open the ignition switch which is also a module and determine what exactly is going on inside, OR someone decides to come up with an interface (that will be created after someone cracks open an ignition switch)

otherwise your SOL for RCS , been there dun that for bout 5hrs, thnx to M. at automobility for helping out with trying to figger it out

fortin you working on anything for this?? lol or xpresskit??

ciao for now
