clifford intelliguard 6000 frozen

First off, I have a 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX. Second off, I’m a jackass, and I think I might have fried my alarm (Clifford Intelligard 6000). Long story short, I’m not sure exactly what happened, but I was working on hard-wiring a GPS charger into my car. I THINK (not sure) that maybe one of my 12v+ leads may have touched one of the leads for the LED alarm blinker light. All of the sudden the siren starts going off, and will NOT disarm. The remote will not disarm it, and valet keypad will not work. The only way I can get the siren to shut up is to disconnect the battery. I ended up having to disconnect the alarm brain, and rewiring my starter and ignition wires around the alarm. Car runs fine now, but of course, I don’t have a functioning alarm. My questions are: 1. Is there any way to diagnose whether the brain is fried or not? I’m not sure how to troubleshoot this. 2. Is this just some sort of short-circuit protection, perhaps? 3. Is there a way to "reset" the alarm - perhaps by disconnecting the 12v+ fuse and letting the brain drain all of its power? Thanks in advance - any help would be appreciated.
