ok heres the deal I installed this alarm on a 01 chevy pickup I used the resistor and relay setup for the remote start and It works perfectly until the vehicle has been running for a little under 10 minutes and then it shuts of as if the bcm is all of a sudden shutting the injectors off but the security light doesnt come on at all, the resistor value is 1275 and i ohm'd the passlock at 1290 so its pretty close what could the problem be? Thanks for any help.

Most remote start alarms timeout at 10 minutes.

Also, Passlock only comes into play at startup.
Once the car is running, you could shred all the Passlock wires to pieces, and the car wouldn't shut off.

could there be any other reason from the alarm that would just cause the vehicle to shut off?

1. Audiovox product comes with 10 minutes runtime set as default.
2. You can go to the Diagnostics option in the programming menu, and it will tell you the reason for the last shutdown.
