I am fixing to put a remote start on a 2004 manual trans mustang. I have been reading about the clutches and was wondering if anyone could tell me the wires/colors and clutch type this car has. Thanks for your help.

Your answer makes it sound like your NOT putting in a manual safe remote start! It's the sound of "doubt" you have.... if done properly... they are fool proof.

What brand and model are you installing?

Ok, run your starter wire from your rs directly to the wht/pnk at the clutch pedal switch as following diagram this is for 04 mustang

Why the diagram?      the first line of text.... is all you need to do. The diagram confuses ME!  2004 mustang clutch -- posted image.   Just connect the R/S starter wire, to the WHITE/ pink on the clutch switch.

thanks guys. the kit i am putting in is the bulldog deluxe 500. It says auto/manual transmission installations. I have installed about 15 of these, but all on autos. Wow, this sure sounds simple enough!! Kinda what I thought it would be. Anyone know where the wire is for the handbrake? Color?
