My Clifford RS III in my Blue CRV was acting up this past weekend. On the way to Virginia, I keep hearing clicking noises. My door locks kept unlocking and locking. Chirping noises coming from the transmitter. When I got to my destination, keys out of the ignition and all, it started itself. It was intermittent, start and then turn off over and over. Nothing wrong with transmitter. I'm not even touching the transmitter at this point. At 1:30 AM on Sat, I found myself panicking, sort of. Valet programming was not responding. To stop this before it ruins the car, I carefully unplugged all the plugs from the brain. I've had this unit for 5+ years and this is the first time this has ever happened.
I no longer have contact with my installer. I appreciate all help and guidance you can give me. What can I do?

Suggest a DMM across 12v+ and ground, see if power supply at module is 12.6v or more, also check ign. input to unit, last but not least, take a hard look at your remote (faulty switch?)

Thank you for your reply howie II. exactly what does DMM mean? I can remember that night I took out the battery from the transmitter and the car still turned on its own.

Valet mode will not keep the remote starter (RS) from activating.
Those model transmitter do have problem w/ the solder joints.
The RS intermittently is prolly due to maybe loose grounding. It have happened to me several times b4.
If you want to do this yourself, you need to take some pictures of the setup.

profuse007, I had a chance to troubleshoot over the weekend. You are right! Loose ground! Sorry I didn't take pics. I was just happy it works properly again. Thank you profuse007!
