What is the make and model of the RS you are installing?
The 94 Cherokee uses Positive triggers to activate the factory relays that control the door locks. If you are burning out fuses you are on the wrong wires in the vehicle. In the driver's kick panel you should find a pink/violet for unlock and a ORANGE / violet for lock.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

As Twelvoltz mentioned, 94 Cherokee uses Positive triggers, Autostart as1755 provides neg outputs for lock on brown wire & unlock on green wire on the 12 pin wire harness. U need to use 2 relays to convert them to positive outputs for the cherokee. See following diagram
