Sucks, I get up to go to work this morning, and my car won't start. Took us most of the morning to figure out what it was, but I'm pretty sure that my fuel pump is broken. 125 for a new one from RockAuto parts. Now if I can just get someone experienced to help with the install...

It would help us to help you if we knew what kind of a vehicle you have.

Well, I didn't exactly mean you guys, but I guess ya'll could help. It's a 06 Toyota Corolla LE. I've already found the pump, it's beneth the bottom part of the rear seat, there's a plate that unscrews and then the tank is right in front of you. The pump should be getting here either thursday or friday, I ordered it yesterday. I just hope this will make my car start. The night before I discovered that this happened, the power and ground wires pulled out of my cap, because it was not bolted down. Needless to say, my main line fuse is gone, I'll have to order another, and I will never not bolt down a box/cap/amp again. It was a very bad end to a weekend/beginning of a week...

Have you checked the wires going to the pump for voltage.

I was not able to check the voltage because my DMM went all screwy. On my battery, I can only get a reading of 7.5VAC, I can't even get a DC reading. I think that thing is broken too, which sucks because it was working just fine last week. my fuel pump broke -- posted image.

$125 poorly spent, my friend.  Unless you mean that the "us" that helped you come to your conclusion included a crackerjack mechanic (with diagnostic tools), don't spend blindly on parts.  Your car is only two or three years old.  Have a good mechanic diagnose the problem and tell you what is wrong.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

from what i know of toyota....my experience of removing the back seat only gives you access to the fuel level sender unit. perhaps this has changed on newer vehicles. the tank must be removed for pump replacement. does the car have voltage? rig up a 12v bulb and connect it to the wires going to the pump. It will light if there is a 12v supply. that plug should be around the area you see the access panel.

Well, the new pump will be here tonight, so if it doesn't work, I'm not sure what I'll do. I'll post up and let yall know if it worked.

Did you ever get a volt meter or for that matter a light bulb as suggested above to verify that the pump is getting power.  Since you said there was an incident with the amp power wire, in the area of the pump, I would really hate to see you drop your tank, only to find out that the pump is not the problem.
