Did you ever wonder how much the internet weighs?
I never did, until I read this article several years ago in Discover Magazine! :) Something sparked a memory of it for me, and I thought... "hey, I bet the guys over at the12volt would get a good cranium scratch from this!"
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Are they after the weight of the data, or its support?
Data should be easy - zero. But that is contentious if you think that photons have a mass when stationary only (etc).
As for its support, let's see - redundant paths, IP protocol, analog bearers, power generators (and battery backups)...
