I'm about to buy a motorcylce (BMW K1600GT.) I want to add some aux lights that go out when the high beans go on. Typically I'd just add a normally closed relay that triggers to open when the high beams(it has two H7s) go on.
However, in order to save power the high beams modulate side to side at about 100Hz so they don't have a constant 12V.
What sort of relay/timer would work for this?
I think something this like H3Y-2 and using that to trigger a 5 pin Bosch relay with a 0.1 second delay.

Will that work? What are my other options?

If it were me, I'd test the wiring at the switch itself and check for a constant output. Then you could just use a typical relay.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Yep I agree with geepherder the switch should have a constant output most likely a ground trigger that you can run your relay from.

Well the bike has a CANbus electrical system and I found an aftermarket system called ezCAN for adding circuits and since I'll be adding some other electrical stuff I'll probably go that route since it allows you to tie in aux lights to the factory lighting while keeping the CANbus system happy.
