If you have sterring wheel control there is a white plug in the back of the deck that controls this through resistors. You will not have steering wheel control capabilities if you take out the factory player and put an aftermarket one in unless you buy an adaptor.

Thanks Jeff, but I also need the wiring code for the Infinity Gold amp that is located under the left rear passenger seat. I am trying to tap into the wiring so I can run an amp and sub off of it.

I don't have the wiring colors for the amplifier 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee -- posted image. but check to see if these colors are the same as the ones on the back of the deck. If they are not the same what you may have to do is to take the door panels off the back doors and see what color the wires are and match them up to the amplifier's wires.

If you are going to be using the factory amp, I hope it is to only be used as the signal input for the amp. The power should be taken straight from the battery , while the ground should be attached to a clean , bare metal spot no more than 3 feet away from the amplifier. The remote turn on can be taken from the factory amplifier ( ignition wire on the OEM amp ) and also make sure that you fuse the power wire with at least a 40 amp fuse.
