I recently had the p/w motor replaced in my 1995 eclipse.  The power windows now operate with the car OFF!  I have taken the car back to them and they seem to be unable to find thier own F*** UP.  any advice.  I think that they wired the p/w to the constant of the door locks...so not to have to run a new wire...but then both windows operate...

please advise

That seems strange, since all they had to do was unplug the old motor, & plug in a new one!! This must have been done at the Mits dealer, huh?!

Pull the driver's door switch out and see if the main power feed has 12v with the key off. If so, they did something seriously wrong!

Also, I know it sounds strange, but dealers are NOT 12 volt guys, so check all of your fuses with the key on ignition. They could have blown a fuse, & just wanted to get the car out quick, so they monkey rigged a new hot lead.

Good luck
