I've wanted a keyless ignition system for a while.
I have a 1995 Nissan 240sx and I'm swapping in a LS1 from 99 Vette, I thought why not see if I could swap the keyless ignition/security system as well.
I've found a module for sale at a reasonable price for a 2008 Corvette... though I have no idea how difficult it will be to integrate.
I'd like to have the system control the keyless door locking/unlocking as well as engine start/kill by way of the start button.
obviously I'd need the fob, the module w/harness, and the start switch, but I need to know what other components exist in the system (sensors? antennas? sub-modules?) as well as what the electrical connections to other systems are so I can determine if they can be bypassed or meshed with the rest of my car.
Any information on this system would be helpful...
if you know of another vehicle with a keyless ignition that module could be easly swapped into another car... I'd be interested in that too.
Thanks :)

i think your going to run into more problem then your going to want to with this idea..most of the newer car run everything over a can bus system which all the computers talk to over...

your title says keyless entry but in your describtion you say something about keyless ignition...are you trying to do both or just keyless entry or keyless ignition??

if your going for keyless ignition IE: push to start im going to have to say that you might as well just take a complete wiring harness from a vette and install it into your nissan, i highly doubt the push to start and or keyless modules are going to work well without a corvette bcm and possibly pcm.

it might honestly be easier for you to get a aftermarket keyless entry system and try to rig up a push buttom start on your own.
