I have a mitsubishi/chrysler corp. original equipment CD player tuner. I would like to find out what the extra wires attached to the back of the unit are for. they are colorcoded violet--yellow/black. the vehicle it came out of is a 2000 Chrysler Town& Country. I presume they might be alarm wires, but not sure.

It would be easier for me to help you if I had a picture of the plug on the back of the radio.  The plug and the location of the extra wires.
