’06 base vibe, parking light wire

Hello, I'm looking for the green (+) parking light wire in the harness in the driver side kick-panel that looks like this: http://www.bulldogsecurity.com...lldog I'm assuming that this wire isn't in my harness since it's not a model that came with power locks, windows, or an alarm. Why would you be looking for a pos green if you've already found the neg at the light switch? Any alarm or R/S from a reputable manufacturer will have a light output that can be switched from pos to neg. Just make yours neg. You're running around like a headless chicken without thinking it through.

You are correct.  If your car did not come with factory power door locks, then don't bother connecting the alarm / remote starts' door lock outputs to the car, even if the cars' harness has the wires.  There are no lock solenoids to control.

In the wire guide listing with the note on the (+) Parking Lights "in harness in DKP going to rear"  means just that.  Look for a harness ( bundle of wires ) in the drivers kick panel that are heading towards the rear of the car, usually going under the door sill plate.

And as Howard mentioned, most better alarm / remote start units allow you to select the Parking Light output polarity.  It is usually safer and more convenient to use the cars' (-) Parking Light wire.

hello howie, all it has is a (+) and no option to switch the polarity, not that I can see. I can make it negative with an extra relay i guess, but that seems a bit harder than just finding the (+) wire.

I'll look for that, and yeah, that wire is pretty convenient, just not the one i need. Thanks

you were right, it's in that bundle of wires headed to the back of the car, never took that for the harness though... THANKS!!
