I recently purchases an oem premium alpine unit out of a 2010 scion. I am putting it into my 08 4runner. The plugs are the same but from what I read the c27 connector for aux and steering wheel controls have slightly different pins. Does anyone have reference for both connectors. My steewing wheel controls work but the aux jack only plays thought half the speakers.
i am an idiot

Do you have or have access to a digital multimeter? I can probably help you to figure it out. How many pins are on the plug in question?

I do but not too familiar with that to check. There are 20 pins. I think only 9 in use. I was told I need to swap the ground pin from spot 14 to 18 but it didn't change anything. Those directions were from 10 to 08 scion. I figure the toyota may be different.

I do have a multimeter. How should I go about find this. As stated the plug has 20 spots, 2 rows however there are only 9 wires I believe.
