Hi all
I'm looking to see if anyone knows which wire out of the ecm controls turning on and off the relay that turns the engine fan on and off.
I'm trying to wire in a separate switch so I can manually turn the fan on and off when I need it.
Thanks for any help

Do you mean the radiator fan?
~wirewise~ Verify all wiring with your meter before making any connections!

Why would you want to manually defeat the ECM's request for cooling?
Perhaps there is a reason to force the fan to be ON when the ECM is not enabling it, but I am curious why you would want to go he other way.

eguru, I'm guessing being temporarily/partially submerged in water or mud.

Your both right
Sometimes when your in water or mud having the ability to leave the fan turned off can advantageous, of course engine temps would have to monitored closely but were only talking a short amount of time to get out of the water.
On the other hand having the engine fan on before the ecm calls for it can help keep the engine cooler when your rock crawling or driving very slowly, the ecm doesn't call for the fan until engine temps hit around 220, way to high in my book, I would like to keep the engine cooler when off roading, closer to the 195 thermostat.
So I'm trying to intercept the signal from the ecm to the fan relay and wire in a switch so I can accomplish my goals.
Thanks for any help.
